Beyond P.I.A**

Thank god I had my Tai Chi class tonight otherwise my head might have exploded. The bathroom saga seems to only have begun...

You'll never guess what I found out this afternoon - a few hours after the shower door revelation. A person working in our bathroom has broken and cracked the corner of my new, chosen with care, plenty of euros worth, new bath tub. I was less than happy to say the least!! Not only has it been broken by someone but that same someone hasn't told anyone and had just tried to hide it with a white paste... Did he really think we wouldn't see it???

Changing it would involve breaking half the bathroom and the new tiles to get it out. I'm utterly gutted. Mr Company Owner told me they'd try to fix it but he couldn't even tell me how because he didn't know yet. Will they ever finish? I guess if we're lucky, we'll have the bathroom done by Christmas. FYI, we're talking about a 5 square meter bathroom and not a bathroom suite in some Saudi Arabian palace.

*Breathing deeply and thinking Ying Yang thoughts*

I'm oozing of wellbeing today - yup there's definitely a happy vibe coming from my blog today... (irony ;) Sorry about that.

Oh no, I'm really sorry to hear that - I hope they can manage to find a way to fix it decently!

Me too Sam. On a positive note, at least I've learnt a great deal about these things for the next time we need to get works done.

I hope things work out for the better sooner than later for you! IT could be worse I suppose though...

Jen - you're right. But at this stage I'm just about reaching my limits.

Cri - sì!! Non c'è niente altro da dire... :/

How freaking annoying!!! OMG - I think you are handling it quite well!

Hi Victoria!! and yesterday we had to console one of the workers who insisted on it wasn't him doing it. He was so utterly sorry that I didn't know what to do apart from making him a coffée.

How was your holiday in the north?

I totally feel your pain!! When we did our bathroom model someone (the painters?) cracked the countertop. The contractor replaced the marble for free but we had to pay for the materials. And the new bathtub got covered in paint splatters that I can't get off. It's soooo frustrating to have the beautiful things you've chosen with such care be damaged before you've even had a chance to use them!

Well said Robin! If you had to pay for your countertop, I guess there's no hope that my contractor will pay me a new bathtub...
