you just realised that the almonds you picked out of the kitchen cabinet and ate a handful of, where in fact all eaten by something before you and were full of holes?
Oh my, I'm about to throw up!
This almost beats the white (!) giant spider I noticed inside, on my car window last week while driving. Anybody seeing me, would have seen a silent screaming girl panicking, trying to exit the car on the passenger side...
When did the spiders become white in the first place? Or was it the world's first albino spider that could have earned me millions but I just managed to chuck out of the car and squash it with the car tyre?? Hmmm.. don't tell me in that case.

Castles in the Sky |
In this moment I finished the last sentence of 'Castles in the sky' (working title). The last out of the three Millennium books by Stieg Larsson. I can't believe that they were all equally good, and I'm so sorry that he didn't live to write more of his stories.
I always end up with a feeling of emptiness after a good read (in this case three). And this means that I'd probably be disappointed by the next book waiting for me in my bookshelf. A good book is always followed by a not so good one - I guess it's all about the expectations even though I know it's not the same author, topic or genre. But nevertheless, it never quite reaches up and into the list of memorable books.
I'm not going to write you a review but rather just say that if you're after a good read this is a good place to start. Oh, and make sure you have time to spend on reading once you get into it, because you wouldn't want to put it down.
Have any of you read them yet, and what did you think of them? Do you know of any other captivating books?

Oh Holy Crap |
Don't you just feel sometimes that nothing is going right. Like the days are always ending with a "Sigh" and "Ouffa" when it started out just fine. Like the thing someone said one day that comes back haunting you next. Like the email that came back with bad news. Or like those moments when small irritations manage to poke you into a rage, leaving you feeling guilty about it afterwards. You know, the days when everything feels crap and you want to stay on the sofa, under the blanket, forgetting yourself in a book hoping nobody will find you for some time?
Sometimes there's that something you wished you could clear out with your friend but it's more comfortable to leave it be. To forget about it. But it doesn't go away, it's just lurking like an unjustified bad conscience. And when you muster up the courage to deal with it, the conversation doesn't at all go the way you had imagined it a 100 times over in your head. It went OK until the moment the One Irreparable Thing was said. One thing cleared but you're left with another, realising that the friendship will never go back to what it was. But I guess I knew that for a long time but secretly wishing it wasn't so.
Somehow it's a shit week, maybe two.
