Email is the new letter. The mobile phone is the new telephone. How did we get by before this new and faster technology came along? Where it's unacceptable not to be available all the time? Where did the romanticism go with all the progress? The waiting for a surprise and nice words to fall into the letterbox?
I hardly write any letters anymore. Only my grandmother receive long letter and postcards from time to time. However the whole family seems to read them on their visits so they are all more or less updated on my life.
The last postcard I received came from Iran where my brother stays from time to time. A country with great cultural history that maybe one day I can visit too.
When was the last time you received a letter or a postcard from someone? And where did it come from?

When I go to a new place, I almost always send a few postcards to family and friends (and sometimes co-workers).
I always hear that it's appreciated, and sometimes you see them when you go to their home months later.
People aren't as good about sending them to me... but last month a got lovely postcard from Hawaii sent by my good friend. 8-)
The last postcard I received, was from you:-) You were home when you sent it, and you asked how life was as a new homeowner:-)
