Sporting Revolution

Holidays are a bit like New Year resolutions for me. Now, I've never been good at making New Year resolutions but come summer holidays and I'm full of inspiration, plans, motivation and creativity. For me the new year was equivalent to a new school year. And it seems to stick despite having left school a long time ago.

It must be the complete relaxation that stimulates my little grey ones and push them into action. And maybe the distance to the normal routines...

This summer was no different.

With my optimism for finding an interesting job around here withering with the speed of light, my mind was set for finding something I could look back on and seeing tangible results. And all these ideas came while out oxygenating my lungs and body... But while out walking I realised I should also add some sport to my life and I did. And for those who know me and won't believe this, I'm taking up running. Well, that sounds a little too fast. Honest as I am, it's more like jogging. Me. Jogging. Seven weeks have passed with regular walks which has turned out to regular jogging sessions.

And today my new friend (Hello Linda!), insisted that running in the rain was good for the skin. The only certainty is that I got wet to the skin, soaking wet. But it was great and I beat my own record big time.

A little proud now.

Hi Astrid! Emilio is SO cute in that photo on your last post. He's growing up so fast! I love reading that you find him great fun to be around. That's so lovely.

Good for you for taking up running/jogging! I've put on a few kilos that I need to get rid of and I'm joining the gym this weekend. I'll think of you running while I'm on the Stairmaster. Let's get in shape!!! :-)

Thanks Michele, I agree with you 100%. I'm a very objective mum ;)
Let me know how you're getting on with the stairmaster, I'm sure we'll shape up just like Aulie :)) Lol...
